Here is a director from Kannada cinema P Seshadri who has almost conquered the path of his senior Dr Girish Kasaravalli in securing awards. December-1 Kannada Feature Film Directed by P Sheshadri bagged national award for the year 2014
Last year (2013)'Bharath Stores' of director P Seshadri in the production of Basanth Kumar Patil got the best regional and special mention was made for the acting of H G Dattatreya (Dattanna).
His first film 'Munnudi' in 2000 got two awards - social film and supporting actor award for HG Dattatreya, Athithi in 2002, Beru in 2005 got the best regional film awards, Thutturi in 2007 got best environmental film, Vimukthi in 2008, Bettada Jeeva in 2010 (special mention to Story of Dr Shivarama Karanth) and now Bharat Stores gets the best regional cinema.
In Munnudi it was atrocity on women at the coastal area, Athithi on terrorism, Beru was on corruption, Thutturi on environmental issue, Vimukthi on realities of death, Bettada Jeeva set in the independence period is on waiting parents in the remote village and "Bharat Store" is on the retail business finding no place today.
Out of three recognitions for senior actor Dattatreya two at the national awards came from P Seshadri films. It was 'Munni' in 2000 got national awards for supporting actor and now special mention for his role in 'Bharat Stores'.
