How to get Voter ID card in Bangalore? Before the 2014 MP Election !

Voting is Every ones Right !!

The Right to Vote is the foundation of a democracy. The voter decides the fate of governments and the collective fate of citizens. So, all citizens of India who have completed 18 years of age should have voter id. It is essential like the ration card to prove our identity.

Eligibility: 
18 years of age
Required Documents:
Age proof (Any one of the following)

High School Certificate / SSLC Mark Sheet
Birth Certificate
Passport/PAN Card
Driving License
Address proof (Any one of the following)

Ration card, Passport, Driving License, Telephone bill or Electricity bill


PROCESS:
Two steps involved.

1. Registration to Vote:  We are registering only to get our name included in the Voter List.


Take PRINTOUT of this form 6 and attach required documents as mentioned above, sign and submit.

Your submitted application will displayed, You can take Print out of the same and sign and send the ERO/AERO Copy with the supporting documents to the Postal Address given in the ERO/AERO Copy.

The Status of your application will be knowing through the link Application Status by entering the application Number which is printed in the acknowledgement copy

2. Registration to get Voter ID card: We have to register separately to get voter ID card. After we have become a registered voter, we can submit the below form EPIC 001.


Note: We can do Voter ID card registration either at the time of submitting your voter registration form (Form 6) or after we have submitted our voter registration form and our name appears in the voter list.


Where and When to submit
At particular time periods, Election Commission of India (ECI) arranges drives to issue voter ID cards to all registered voters through Designated Photographic Locations (DPL) such as Government schools or government office in our area. Anyway they will announce though all major newspapers before they arrange such drives. We must visit our nearest DPL, submit the forms and documents. They will take digital photo of ours and the Voter ID card is issued in 10 to 15 minutes.
