Kavitha Lankesh on Indian Oscar jury

Kannada filmmaker Kavitha Lankesh is quite the thinking woman, which is why she is most sought-after to serve on juries. Recently she was on the jury for the campaign ILEAD India, an initiative by the Times of India Group.
Then she was the on the jury for the world of advertisement at the The BIG BANG awards and now, she is off to Hyderabad to be on the selection committee to decide India's entry in the race for India's official entry in the Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars.

"It's fun to meet people, judge others' works and also get to watch some great films. Every year there are some great Malayalam and Tamil films being made. I look forward to seeing some of this work," she says. But after that, though, it's time for her to get back behind the camera. "I am starting a new film in Ocotber and will get busy with that," she says-Prathibha Joy, TNN
